WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?

*Fans should use caution when considering purchases for any show they might attend at any event or concert.  Purchasing from a non-authorized person or outlet puts fans at risk of spending their hard-earned cash for invalid tickets and credentials. Upheaval, in partnership with TIXR, employs state-of-the-art scanning technology for festival entry & credentials. Only valid tickets will scan to authorize entry into the venue for an event. Lost or stolen tickets are deactivated and thus are not valid. Counterfeit tickets will also not scan. Purchasers who choose to buy from an unauthorized source, ticket broker or “scalper,” do so at their own risk.


WHAT DOES MY ADMISSION INCLUDE? DO I NEED SEPARATE TICKETS FOR TWO BANDS ON THE SAME NIGHT?

Your admission includes all performances on each festival stage for the day. (After Shows are not included and require a separate ticket)

I BOUGHT A 2-DAY PASS, DO I NEED TO BRING THE PASS BOTH DAYS?

YES! Your 2-day ticket is scanned EACH day.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Upheaval is an all-ages event, while no minimum age is strictly enforced, we highly recommend parents accompany children under the age of 16. All attendees are required to have a ticket to enter regardless of age.

You do not need your ID to enter the festival, but you MUST have your ID if you want to consume alcohol (21+). Driver's licenses, passports, military IDs, and government IDs with photo and birth date are all acceptable forms of ID.

Performance Disclaimer: Some performances may contain material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children. Many parents may want to watch these with their younger children. These performances may call for parental guidance as they may include: coarse language, or some suggestive dialogue.

This notice is an indicator voluntarily placed to better inform our guests, while also protecting the interest of artists in free expression and artistic creativity.


HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?

Please see the Tickets page for current ticket pricing.  Each type and its supply are limited.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE IN TICKET TIERS?

Tiers simply indicate an increase in price of the same ticket. There is no difference in amenities between the different tiers.

WHAT DOES WAITLIST MEAN?

Waitlist is a feature that allows you to reserve tickets for a sold-out ticket. Find more info here.

CAN I EXCHANGE TICKET(S) IF I DO NOT USE THEM?

No refunds or exchanges including, but not limited to: failure of performer(s) to appear, changes in performer(s), or cancellation due to inclement weather.

In the case that Upheaval is canceled or postponed due to COVID-19, festival organizers will provide information for rescheduled dates and refund options.

DO YOU OFFER SPECIAL PRICING ON TICKETS?

We do not offer student, military, or senior citizen discounts at this time. 

IS THERE A PLACE THAT I CAN LEAVE TICKETS FOR A FRIEND TO PICK UP?

The Will-Call window is at the festival Box Office, located outside the Main Gate. Please be sure to attend this Will-Call window first from outside Festival grounds for any Festival admission tickets to be picked up at “Will Call”.

DOES UPHEAVAL HAVE PRIVATE PARTY OR COMPANY OUTING PACKAGES?

I PURCHASED TICKETS. WHERE ARE THEY?

You can locate your tickets by following THESE instructions.

I PURCHASED PRESALE TICKETS FOR A SHOW THROUGH A WEBSITE DIFFERENT FROM TIXR, ARE THESE TICKETS VALID?

If you bought tickets through the artist’s official pre-sale, even if they weren’t through TIXR, then yes they are valid. If you haven’t received instructions on how to receive/use those tickets, please contact the company that was holding the artist’s pre-sale.

I PURCHASED 2-DAY TICKETS BUT I ONLY HAVE ONE BARCODE. IS THAT OK?

You will scan in the same barcode each day.

I PURCHASED A TRAVEL PACKAGE, HOW DO I GET MY CHECK-IN INFORMATION?

Check-in information was emailed out in June. Tickets will be picked up at will call at hotel check-in.

CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKETS TO A FRIEND?

Yes. Fan Transfer is a safe and easy way to transfer (send) tickets digitally to another person. If you have an account with Tixr, simply log in and go to MY EVENTS. From there, select the ticket(s) you want to transfer and enter the email address you want to receive the transfer offer.

Yes. Upheaval will be cashless for 2024.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

If you purchased a parking pass, the lot will open up at 10:30 am each day.

CAN I BRING A BACKPACK OR A PURSE INTO THE FESTIVAL?

View our bag policy and the list of items permitted at the festival HERE. Bags will be restricted to small purses, fanny packs, and single pocket drawstring bags only. Bags may not exceed 14” x 11” x 5” and must have only one singular pocket or opening.

CAN I BRING A WATER BOTTLE?

Yes, you may bring in an EMPTY reusable water bottle that can be filled at our water station.

CAN I BRING A LAWN CHAIR?

Yes, bag chairs are permitted in designated areas within the festival grounds. We recommend the popular "bag" chairs, however, your "bag" chair is also subject to being searched. We ask that you do NOT bring high-back lawn chairs as they obstruct the view of your neighbors.

DO I NEED TO BRING A CHAIR FOR VIP?

VIP has seating available in the lounge; seating in limited and first come first serve. Bag Chairs are allowed at the ground level in VIP; but will not be permitted in the PIT closer to the stage.

CAN I BRING A CAMERA TO THE FESTIVAL?

Non-professional cameras and smartphones are allowed in the venue. No other audio/video recording devices are allowed. Upheaval defines professional cameras to be anything with a removable lens.

CAN I BRING FOOD OR DRINK INTO THE FESTIVAL?

No outside beverages or food of any kind is allowed. Once inside the Festival, you can purchase and drink from a variety of vendors.

If you have a medical condition that requires you to bring outside food or beverages in, please bring proper documentation with you to the security check-point at the main gate, all items will be subject to search.

CAN I BRING MEDICATION INTO THE FESTIVAL?

If you have a medical condition that requires you to bring prescription medication in, please bring proper documentation with you to the security checkpoint at the main gate, all items will be subject to search. The festival does not have refrigeration available for medication. If you require a temperature-controlled environment for your medication, you are permitted to bring a personal cooler that fits our bag policy size guidelines.

CAN I GET CASH AT THE FESTIVAL?

No. Upheaval is a cashless festival.

CAN I BRING A STROLLER FOR MY CHILD INTO THE FESTIVAL?

Yes, strollers are accepted but are subject to search during security check at gates. For safety purposes strollers will not be allowed in the Standing Room Only areas of the Festival.

CAN I BRING MY SERVICE ANIMAL WITH ME?

Yes, service animals are allowed, but pets are not allowed. A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability.

IS UPHEAVAL HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. There are handicap accessible restrooms; a designated General Admission Accessible seating area at the main stage for handicapped patrons plus one companion.

We also offer a venue shuttle that will transport accessible patrons from the bottom of the hill to the Lookout Stage.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I LOSE MY CHILD INSIDE THE FESTIVAL?

If your child becomes lost inside of the Festival grounds, please notify a uniformed security officer, or festival staff immediately. We will assist you.

After Shows are held at The Intersection - 133 Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

WHAT TIME DO AFTER SHOW HEADLINERS GO ON?

After Show headliners will go on at 11:30PM.
